About

Think Twice, Dublin was an experimental guitar pop band consisting of myself, Pat Coyle (on drums and vocals), and Andrew Huffard (of Crybaby Apprentice).

We started writing together just to have a reason to play in Battle of the Bands our senior year of high school, our previous band had sort of dissolved. Initially we took heavy influence from ultra-repetitive kraut type music, writing Stapled Skies to perform before we graduated.

Though college took Andrew briefly to Ohio, he returned after a year or so to our hometown where Pat and I were attending school. This allowed us to re-group and write what may be the music I'm most proud of – "The Parent Singles."

Thematically The Parent Singles weren't related at all but there were 3 singles (with A/B sides) and each cover adorned cover photos of one of the member's parents, so we always called them that. It also makes me think we're like The Beta Band with "The Three EPs" which is cool, I guess.

We played around State College for the remainder of our college years, gathering a niche local following for a small amount of time. There were a few times we were lucky to open for some pretty cool acts like Cymbals Eat Guitars and School of Seven Bells.

The loss of this band is a romantic tragedy to me, I'll always wonder what could have been in some way. But I'm super glad I have the memories and recordings I do have.
